EASING YOUR WAY BACK TO BALANCE

Kim Sperling headshot

I’m Kim Sperling, licensed acupuncturist and founder of Shen Wellness Studio, and I’m glad you’ve stopped by.

So often, the events of life carry us away from our true nature. Stressors and life circumstances can create deep impressions on our lives. One of the joys of my work has been assisting my patients in their healing paths over the past 20 years and helping them as they shift the imbalances that have been keeping them from their fullest lives. My sessions help you to cultivate your own wisdom and intuition and ultimately focus on bringing about greater consciousness and awareness.

We each carry within us the wisdom to heal. And it is my privilege to help my patients tap into that wisdom.

A deep reverence for the connection between body and spirit is at the core of my practice. As part of our work together, I help you make the connections between the emotional, spiritual, and lifestyle factors that could be affecting your health and wellbeing.

While I spend time working on your physical body, my session work centers on the emotional, energetic, and spiritual. As appropriate, I combine acupuncture with adjunctive therapies to deepen and enhance your treatment.

I discovered acupuncture in the mid-90s, when I was going through a particularly stressful time in my life. I met an acupuncturist who opened my eyes to the relationship between my emotional and physical health, a discovery that set me on a path to a calmer, happier life – and a deeply rewarding profession.

My work is distinguished by my gentle, intuitive approach combined with my modern and relaxing studio space. Each treatment is customized to meet the needs of the patient at the time of our session.

As part of each treatment, I take patients through a progressive relaxation, helping them focus on the breath and quiet the brain so they leave my studio with a greater sense of balance and ease.

My education includes a BSBA from the University of Arizona and a Diplomate in Acupuncture from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. I studied at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, graduating with a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine in 2001. I am a Diplomate of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology designated by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I am also certified in Stone Medicine. The crystal and stone wisdom I received in Stone Medicine draws from 88th generation Taoist priest Dr. Jeffrey C. Yuen and from Sarah Thomas, L.Ac.

If you’re interested in booking an appointment, please call me at (404) 545-1600 or contact me here. I would love to support you in finding your way back to balance.
